This paper provides a short introduction to the social software tools used in modern learning processes. The usage of these tools is then evaluated in the context of vocational educational systems. A short presentation of the results of a study carried out among vocational school educators regarding the usage of these tools in an e-learning environment is provided. The findings and the discussion that followed from the study have been formulated as recommendations that will enable the promotion and the wider use of their capabilities and their ease of use.
